There had been an increase in the demand of micro-fabrication for ihe future mass production of optical fibre connectors. In this study, formulated zirconia feedstock was prepared by z-blade mixer and used to formed zirconia compact using "micromelt" micro-ceramic injection moulding. The samples were injected and debound in ambient atmosphere from room temperature to 1000°C. Then, the debound samples were sintered at 10°C min~(-1) to 1350°C, MOOT, 1450°C 1500°C and 1550°C with an hour soaking at maximum temperature respectively before cooling. Sintered compacts were characterised for the density, microstructiires, hardness and flexural strength. Various kinds of microstructures of the cross section and the surface were discussed and correlated to the surface of the commercial optical fibre connector.
