In this paper, a new combined methodology of FEM/BEM is used to analyze the vibration and acoustic radiation of a cylindrical cabin with water-filled double-layer shell. Modal parameters of the cabin model without water are obtained with FEM, and fluid-structure coupling behavior due to the water in the double-layer shell structure and the surrounding water are analyzed by direct BEM method. Velocities and pressures are computed, and the effects of different numbers and locations of stiffeners are discussed.
