To elucidate the hydrogen effects on dislocation activities is important to reveal hydrogen embirittlement mechanisms. Some in-situ TEM observations showed that dislocation configuration is significantly altered by hydrogen, and these results supported the HELP mechanism. However, it has often been noted that adsorbed-hydrogen atoms affected dislocation activities in thin film. Here, we show that the change of surface energy by the hydrogen adsorption alters the dislocation configurations in ultrathin films by MD simulations.
