LOW VOLTAGE LOW POWER OSCILLATOR FOR ARRAYS OF QUARTZ MICROBALANCES

It is generally believed that automatic gain control is necessary for high performance oscillators; we show that this is not true for low Q quartzes. Furthermore we describe a new circuit which does not use automatic gain control and achieves excellent frequency stability. Measurements confirm theoretical results.
