US Pharmacopoeia, National Formulary: General Chapter 41 and Tech Note 1251

Abstract - Over recent years, there have been moves to make changes to USP NF General Chapter 41, which addresses the requirement to accurately weigh samples of small mass. This process is finally coming to fruition, with a proposal for a new General Chapter 41, and accompanying Tech Note 1251, being posted on www.usp.org for discussion and comment. In the text, we will outline the changes, the impact and the action foreseen, should the proposals be recommended to Pharmaceutical Forum by the Expert Committee.
