In a province filled with aging water treatment facilities, the need for plant upgrades is growing. Over the past few years, there has been a major rush to bring plants into compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act and Ontario Regulation 170. In future years, upgrades will be required to address population growth, water quality improvements (both regulated and non-regulated), as well as issues related to aging infrastructure.
