The current research paper is a part of a wider research program in the area of vocational & educational decision making which focuses on the exploration of the relationship between the role of the family, the parental authority style and the students' career decision making ability. The sample of the study was consisted of 150 students (males & females) enrolled in Electronic courses of a public Technological High School. There was found strong relationships between authoritative parental style and lack of clear occupational interests. The authoritarian maternal style was strong correlated with students' total performance in decision making difficulties. The family type and the family variables (adaptability & cohesion) were not found to be related with students' decision making ability. It was correlated with the parental authority style. Male students presented to have more difficulties in occupational interests' clarity and to be more immature in decision making than females.
