LABORATORY STUDIES OF ION AND DUST ACOUSTIC INSTABILITIES IN DUSTY PLASMAS

摘要

Recent experimental work performed in the University of Iowa Dusty Plasma Device (DPD) is described. This work covers observations of (a) the current-driven dust ion acoustic (DIA) instability and (b) dust acoustic (DA) waves. Relevant theoretical work of the University of Iowa group is also included.
