Summary of nationwide survey: the work environment of physicists in Japan

摘要

This is a report on a cooperative survey conducted in 2001 by the Physical Society of Japan (JPS) and the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP), to study the work environment of physicists. This project was epoch-making in that the survey was not limited to women (contents of the questionnaire are available at www.jps.or.jp and www.jsap.or.jp). We found that the many problems in working conditions often associated specifically with women are actually shared among men as well.
