Developing Mobile Software Solutions to Offer University Administrative Services Using Mobile Devices: M-Government Case Study

The goal of the research was focused on the analyses of mobile government opportunities in order to provide Public Administration Faculty 'going mobile and wireless' by offering more portable access to different administrative services by filling online forms by using mobile devices and to involve administration in technology itself. The focus is on mobile service management, service representation and service reporting. The significance of the research is based on the fact that offering administrative services through mobiles is becoming increasingly popular and enables people to access share and interact with information with anyone at any time when needed on real time using mobile devices. The research methodology was based on grounded theory research and action research focused on investigating the intersection between public administration and mobile government concepts to be embraced and mobile software development issues. For testing purposes developed is a software prototype called M-government and its analyses has been investigated and recommendations for similar intiatives have been defined.
