A Theoretical Approach to University Library Strategy

摘要

The traditional notion of strategy for a university library has been that of a pattern of goal-oriented activity based upon a strategic plan. This paper incorporates this perspective into two others: that of strategy based upon competitive position and upon internal library resources. In so doing, it proposes a framework for guiding theoretical development concerning university library strategy.
