摘要

This study develops a theoretical framework for studying the effects of the impostor phenomenon on organizational configuration. Using decision-making types, threat, and threat rigidity, it is proposed that top management will lead to a "reactor" type of organizational form as offered by Miles and Snow's typology of organizations. These forms are unstable and uncertain in their response to a changing environment. In addition, it is proposed that individuals suffering from the impostor phenomenon will be less likely to make developmental decisions. Opportunities for future research and limitations of the current study are both presented.
