Genetic data for the locus SE33 in a south Portuguese population with Powerplex~R ES System

Allele frequencies and forensic efficiency parameters for SE33 locus were calculated from a sample of 328 individuals residing in the south of Portugal. A significant deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium was observed. The results demonstrate the usefulness of SE33 for forensic identification, which should be added to the set of STRs loci routinely studie,namely in complex cases that involve relatives.
