Research on the safety of hydrogen infrastructure and building frame structure against hydrogen explosion and earthquake

Obayashi Corporation which is one of five biggest general contractors in Japan is conductinga research work which is a part of a new research project regarding fuel cell and hydrogenenergy. In this paper, some of the results of the research subjects up to now such as hydrogenleak simulation at hydrogen refueling station, the reduction effect of explosion overpressureby protective wall and protection of hydrogen refueling station against vehicle collision arereported.
