Three structures of recently opened bypass offer wide range of structural types and presented different challenges to the experimental process and to the analytical modelling. The first structure is a continuous prestressed continuous beam of variable cross section, the second consists 5 simply supported spans of #4 pre-stressed concrete beams composite with a reinforced concrete deck, and the third is made of two skew simply supported hollow slabs made of reinforced concrete. The spans vary from 30 m to over 100 m, presenting different mass to be excited during the test, but also different type of model in the finite element method used for the analytical analysis. In particular some new structural system was created on one of bridge, with continuity for live load only. The bridges were tested before the bypass opened to establish record for new structures for latter comparison.
