摘要

This paper presents a case-based design system for clamping mechanism of injection moulding machine in a concurrent environment and introduces a design case. The system's architecture consists of 2D constructive diagram with linkages, parameter optimization, motion characteristic analysis for mechanism, and generation of structural parametric CAD model of linkage. A double-elbow mechanism of injection moulding machine is taken as an example to demonstrate how the system works. The developed system may create simulation diagram, estimate link parameters, obtain two limited positions of the piston's working stroke, draw the curves of speed & acceleration, draw up the structure draft diagram of linkages which includes information needed in manufacturing, and transform the system results related to structure data into other CAD/CAM format. Presently, the system is only suitable for single-elbow and double-elbow mechanism of injection moulding machine.
