DAMAGE ASSESSMENT FOR NONLINEAR STRUCTURES USING THE CONCEPT OF STRUCTURAL POWER

摘要

The present paper establishes a theory based on the structural power to assess the damage status of a structure. The established theory can be applied to diagnose the structural damage, to characterize the system nonlinearity, and to develop identification for a nonlinear system. For illustration, the present paper explores the characteristics of the structural power for both narrow and wide band excitations.
