Multirange lattice Boltzmann method was proposed as a novel method to simulate the multiphase flow, which is of more flexibility and thermal consistency than the original Shan-Chen model. In this paper, bubble nucleation in channel flow is simulated by the multirange multiple-relaxation time lattice Boltzmann method. The effects of the shear rate and interfacial tension on the bubble population, typical size (L) and vapor volume of fraction (VOF) are investigated. Although the interfacial tension and the shear rate lead to decrease and increase of growth rate of vapor VOF, respectively, the L agrees well with the classical L approx T~(2/3) law for all of the cases.
