Process Specification Language and Its Spatial Extension for Supply Chain

To reduce the cost and remain competitive, enterprises must become increasingly agile and integrated. So according to functions, they bound together and formed a supply chain. As a consequence, process information from different entities in one supply chain should be integrated and exchanged. That is to say, the challenge of interoperability is especially apparent. Enterprise models play an important role in the integration, enabling better designs for enterprises, analysis of their performance, and management of their operations. To get sharable process information, ontology-based modelling becomes a hotspot in the domain of enterprise modelling. In order to facilitate exchange of process information and depict of spatial relations for special requirements of supply chain, this article analyses the potential benefits of using PSL in modelling supply chain, and provides an extension of spatial relations for process specification language. At last, an example of modelling oriented to supply chain was given.
