In the presentation an overview is given of the development from competing train- and bus networks in the Dutch region Achterhoek to a fully integrated network of train and bus. The advantages of co-operation are presented with increasing passenger numbers and good financial results as noteworthy results. Furthermore the herringbone model will be illustrated on which the train and bus timetables are based. At present Syntus offers a fully integrated public transportation network in the Dutch regions Achterhoek and Twente with in total 29 train units and 80 busses.
