Workshop: an introduction to C#

摘要

C# is the central language of Microsoft's.NET. It merges many of the features of C++ and Java to produce an interesting and flexible language which has consider merits and is in some ways an advance over its predecessors. Although some think it as Microsoft's Java want-to-be and it has certainly taken and even improved on many of Java's strengths, in some ways is quite un-Java like and more reminiscent of C++. The designers of C# have clearly learned much from earlier languages especially Java and C++, but the language they designed can stand on its own merits. Although it is an over simplification, C# often seems to look a lot like Java and feel a lot like C++. C# has an extensive class library which makes it epecially suitable for both Windows GUI applications and web applications.
