CORRELATION OF EXPERIMENTAL TO ANALYTICAL STRUCTURAL DYNAMICS OF A GAS TURBINE SHELL

摘要

Results of an experimental modal survey and a finite element analysis of a gas turbine shell are presented. Ideally, both analyses should yield the same results, however, in practice It Is rarely achieved, least of all in the first iteration of comparing analytical with experimental analysis. Both disciplines should compliment each other in that knowledge should be gained in the refinement of one processes results to the other. Procedures used for acquisition of the experimental test data and the finite element analysis are discussed.
