Four Critical Elements of an Environmental Management Systems Audit Program

The purpose of this paper is to examine Lockheed Martin Aeronautics's ESH audit program and four of the elements that make it effective.The elements to be addressed in this paper are(1)independence of the internal audit program;(2)qualifications of the personnel performing the audits;(3)having a defined process for performing audits;and(4)having an effective corrective action process.
