Design Optimization for 10Gbps Electro Absorption Modulator LD Packaging

摘要

This paper gives a detailed description of the concurrent design methodology of an optoelectronic Package optimizing optical, electrical, thermal and mechanical functions. We discuss the low cost packaging solutions for 10 Gbps Electro Absorption modulator LD (EAM LD) optical transmitter package. We discuss the signal optimization methodology of optical transmitter for 10Gbps transmission over 30km of conventional single mode fiber for access applications.
