^7fWe found out that the maximum strain in strain distribution of ribbon fiber in an SZ-slotted rod depends on the higher harmonic components in an SZ-stranding locus according Finite Element Method analyzing. The SZ-stranding form containing about 5 percent third harmonic component minimizes the ribbon fiber strain. The analyzed results have been compared with the transmission characteristics of prototype cables, as a result, it have been confirmed that these procedures were effective to estimate the cable performance.
