A New Method for Immobilization of BINOLate-Titanium Catalysts by Utilizing Aggregation Phenomenon

摘要

A new method for the immobilization of a BINOLate-titanium(IV) complex was developed by utilizing their tendency to form aggregates.A tris-BINOL 12 in which three BINOL units are tethered by rigid aromatic unit forms an insoluble polymeric aggregate by treatment with titanium tetraisopropoxide.The solid titanium complex shows a catalytic activity in asymmetric addition of diethylzinc to benzaldehyde.
