Recently, separation and recovery of transition metal catalysts from products and their reuse have been recognized as problems to be solved from an environmental point of view. The use of immobilized catalysts on solid supports is one solution to these problems, and effective methods to attach active metal species to organic polymers or inorganic oxides have been actively investigated.
