Efficient synthesis of linear polyethylenes modified by incorporation of polar functional groups is one of the major challenges in polymer synthesis. Radical copolymerization is often utilized to generate copolymers of non-polar olefins and acrylates. but linear copolymers mainly composed of ethylene units are considerably hard to prepare. Therefore, other methods have been sought to produce the desired copolymers.
