RETHINKING UNIVERSITY PORTAL DESIGN: THE ROLE OF KNOWLEDGE ROOMS IN FACILITATING KNOWLEDGE SHARING

Universities can significantly benefit from cross-university knowledge sharing. Although knowledge sharing facilitating technologies exist, utilization in universities tends to be low due to the array and spatial distribution of such tools across technological platforms. The paper suggests portal technology as a solution to this and other problems.
