Vibration Analysis of A Printer Unit Using Statistical Energy Analysis

It is difficult to analyze the vibration and the sound responses of the whole. The surface and he inside of a printer using FEM. This difficulty comes from, he fact that almost the parts of the printer are made of plastic mold. In this investigation, statistical energy analysis (SEA, is applied to predict the responses on the printer unit. First, the selection of SEA subsystems is discussed using the initial slope ratio techniques. Then, SEA model is constructed experimentally. The vibration energy level on each SEA subsystem predicted by the constructed SEA model is compared with the measured level under the impact test. It is shown that the vibration analysis on the printer unit is suitable for SEA. Next, the input power under the real operating condition is identified using the hull, SEA model. The identified input power is obtained in some small time intervals like the time hands. It is difficult to identify the input power by other methods. It is concluded that the product made of plastic mold is available to analyze the vibration responses predicted by SEA.
