Discharge characteristic of nonequilibrium planar plasma jets, issuing from a dielectric duct with helium flow, impinging on substrates covered with dielectric planes in atmospheric pressure ambient air, is investigated. Stable discharges with multi-pulse in the negative half-cycle of applied voltages are observed. Both the number of negative current pulses and the intensity of the second pulse increase with voltage amplitudes, while the first pulse almost maintains constant. These phenomena possibly come from successive breakdowns in nonuniform distributions of electric fields and gas mixing ratios, and the current limitation of dielectric barriers.
