Surgical repair has transformed the outlook of tetralogy of Fallot from a largely fatal condition to one that is usually survived. Surgical repair now has a very low mortality and almost all children will survive to adult life. [1] Further problems are uncommon in childhood and attention has focused on adults, who obviously had operations performed longer ago and often later in childhood. The main clinically significant arrhythmias encountered are ventricular tachycardia and atrial flutter or atrial tachycardia. Other supraventricular arrhythmias and atrioventricular block are uncommon.
