Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans and malignant fibrous histiocy-toma are rare mesenchymal, soft tissue tumors, usually occurs in the trunk and extremities. The scalp and skull are rare but important anatomic sites for these tumors because of the possibility of direct invasion into the brain. We report two cases: a 41-year-old man who developed dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans of the scalp with invasion into the skull, dura, superior saggital sinus and brain and with one pulmonary metastasis and a 40-year-old woman who developed probably radiation-induced malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the skull and scalp with intracranial extension. They both had undergone numerous surgical procedures because of multiples tumors recurrences. Neurosurgeons don't have much experience with such patients; so there is a question how to manage these patients and when we have to stop.
