This paper is the second in a series of two presented at the current conference. The first paper presents the development of a generic algorithm, which forms the basis for calculating risks of wind damage occurrence. The current paper demonstrates application of the model, and forms a final component of a proposed wind damage / disaster model for South Africa. The application is presented on the basis of a worked example, for which a densely populated and industrialised Magisterial district of Vanderbijlpark, located in the central part of South Africa, has been selected. For demonstration purposes and due to the lack of relevant information on the spatial distribution of human development and wealth, several inputs to the model were assumed.
