Wind Exposure of Outdoor Areas Management of the Work Versus the Limits of Use of the Lifting Machines

摘要

Outdoor work areas may be exposed to quite severe climate events. Especially, wind deteriorates the working conditions, making them sometimes dangerous. The aim of this paper is to describe the method used for the aerodynamic characterization of outdoor work areas of a French shipyard "les Chantiers de l'Atlantique", and its application to the safety use of the lifting machines. This study leads to a 3D map of safety work conditions for every single engine according to its notice of use. This work leads to a further work of research and development about this type of engine.
