The steady supersonic motion of a rigid cone in a strongly porous medium (weak ground, porous concrete, etc.) is considered under condition of joining of the shock wave arisen by this motion. Calculation and analysis of critical Mach numbers M* when the shock wave disconnects, as well as the contact shock wave pressure and the drag force coefficient depending on the cone angle and the velocity are given. It was counted the depth in which the cone made from tungsten can be penetrated to soil without destruction. The results are compared with the simplified solutions obtained under the assumption that the medium beyond the shock wave front is incompressible, the cone is thin, and the Mach number is very large.
