摘要

This paper describes pipeline design methods to withstand strong ground motion or slope movement for which strain based design method in the elastic deformation range or stress based design method in the plastic deformation range shall be employed. The strain based design method shall be applied to displacement controlled deformations and the nonlinear stress based design method shall be used for load controlled deformations. Dimensionless parameters are defined to discriminate between the displacement and load controlled deformations.
