Modelling Colposcopy Services in the UK: Implications of Proposed Guideline Change with Respect to a Single Mildly Dyskaryotic Smear and Modification with HPV Testing

Current practice in the use of colposcopy in the UK cervical screening programme was modelled with respect to the intensity of follow up practice, following referral with a smear suggesting low grade disease. Changes in current practice are recommended to accommodate this new referral strategy. The potential benefits of HPV testing are assessed.
