Finite element (FE) method was applied to computer model of human leg segment with suitable boundary conditions to predict electrical impedance, current density and electric field distributions. Predicted value of electrical impedance was also compared with the measured experimental value using electrical impedance plethysmography (EIP) with tetrapolar electrode system. The electrical impedance of leg segment has been predicted to be 46.7 ohms that corresponds well with experimental value of 46.0 ohms and predicted value being 1.58 % higher. Various 3D graphs and vector plots are further drawn for current density and electric field distribution across leg segment. Results obtained prove to be useful in further research activities and clinical applications.
