A DISCUSSION ABOUT RELATION BETWEEN FEATURES OF BAI NATIONALITY'S FURNITURE AND GEOGRAPHICAL CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT IN DALI, YUNNAN PROVINCE

摘要

Owing to the special location of Dali that has made Bai culture mixed with other different cultures during the long history, Bai nationality's furniture craft with local features is forming. Dali Bai nationality furniture is one important part in Chinese traditional furniture family. Comparing with Chinese traditional furniture Bai nationality's furniture has the same prefecture in some way, as well as its own unique style. This article introduces the characteristic of Bai furniture in mold making, decoration, material etc. through analyzing the special geographical and cultural background.
