The control of both polycondensation of the titanium alkoxide, [Ti(OR)_4], and alkoxide coverage of the templating monodispersed polystyrene (PS) beads in suspension lead to various morphologies of macroporous solids after calcination. By increasing the ratio H_2O/[Ti(OR)_4], the solids progressively evolve from a dense interconnected macroporous network to almost isolated hollow spheres characterized using SEM.
