摘要

Acetonitrile (CH_3CN) is a main byproduct (10 wt%) during the industrial production of acrylonitrile. Today, with the rapid increase of acrylonitrile production, large quantity of acetonitrile has been accumulated. Thus, there is a strong driving force to develop new application of CH_3CN. A promising way is the hydrogenation of CH_3CN to produce C_2H_5NH_2, an important intermediate in fine chemicals. As various byproducts might be formed during CH_3CN hydrogenation, great attempt has been made to achieve high selectivity to C_2H_5NH_2, in which the catalyst plays a decisive role. As well known, the amorphous alloys represent a new class of catalytic materials owing to their higher activity, better selectivity, and stronger poisoning resistance. We report here the Co-B and Ni-B amorphous alloys with the attempt to design highly effective catalysts for the title reaction.
