Effects of Sonication on the Crystal Orientation of the Electrodeposited Palladium Film from Ammonia Bath

The electrolytic bath was adjusted to pH 9 with ammonia water, and was composed of 15 g/dm~3 PdCl_2 and 75 g/dm~3 NH_4Cl. The current density was under 120 mA/cm~2. Frequency of sonication was 28 kHz. The current density and Pd (Ⅱ) concentration were little affected to texture coefficient of (111) and (200) plans. The temperature and pH were affected to texture coefficient of (111) and (200) plans. The texture coefficient of deposited film was no effect of frequency. The micro-jet was prevent the adhesion of the hydrogen gas that generated during electrolytic, and the concentration of Pd (Ⅱ) ion on the electrode surface was equalized. The orientation of deposited film was not depended on shock wave pressure and water hammer pressure.
