Feed rate, cutting speed and depth of cut are the main parameters that affect the cutting process and they have direct influence on the tool life and tool wear as well as the surface quality. In this paper a novel model based on the polynomial equations and curve fitting techniques is proposed to model tool wear and also the tool life. In order to use this model on Internet as a web based prediction tool for the tool life, tool wear and surface roughness, PHP programming is used to implement the model with PHP codes on a server for on-line monitoring and control of the cutting process and the tool performance.
