China Magnesiuin Development Report in 2010

摘要

The output, exports and domestic consumption of primary magnesium, magnesium alloys and magnesium powders/granules in 2010 were released in this report. China's magnesium industry saw more progress in widely adopting clean energy and developing conserving energy & reducing emission technologies as weli as upgrading equipments in 2010. Based on it, the average energy consumption of magnesium smelting in 2010 went down to around 5tce/t-mg while the CO_2 emission per ton mg was about 12 - 17t calculated by CMA. Some smeiters adopted a new vertical retort technology which has a great potential of energy-saving and emission-reducing. Advantages of sustainable development for China's magnesium industry were listed and analyzed. Suggestions on development of global magnesium industry were made.
