摘要

This paper discusses the causes of hydrostatic steering jerk in articulated vehicles and introduces two important methods for controlling articulated vehicle dynamics. These two methods are Wide Angle and Cylinder Damping technologies incorporated in steering control units manufactured by Eaton Corporation. Each method successfully controls the three major causes of steering jerk which are load sense signal changes, operator input variation, and steering load instability.
