The early stages of nucleation in binary copper-based alloys are studied in model binary Cubased alloys by means of the Tomographic Atom Probe (TAP). Measurements were performed on the model alloy Cu-07at.% Fe [1], aged at an annealing temperature of 803K for different times. In addition, TAP data were collected for an Cu-2.0at.% Co alloy, aged at 853K for various times, with a higher super saturation in comparison to the CuFe system.
