An Emerging ATM System Performance Measurement Index: Required Total System Performance (RTSP)

Based on the above presentation of our current sense of what constitutes the RTSP metric concept, there are numerous pending issues yet to be resolved, including the following: 1) Once each MOP is identified and properly located within each core management function, it will include performance requirements such as availability, continuity of function, accuracy, and integrity. 2) For RTSP to be a validated ATM system performance metric, significant modeling and simulation analysis, structured with appropriate 'design of experiment' techniques and regression modeling is required to both internally verify and externally validate the effectiveness of such a composite metric.
