摘要

A high voltage integrated circuit for offline switched-mode power supplies exploits a novel digital control method. The new method reduces no-load consumption of power supplies to a fraction of that dissipated by both linear and conventional PWM supplies while operating practically without audible noise from the power transformer. Integration of the new control method with a high-voltage power transistor allows the production of an inexpensive switcher solution that has the lowest component count available today. In addition, a significant number of features have been designed onto the IC.
