PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for improving to regulate an output voltage of a power converter over a certain range of load conditions.;SOLUTION: An example apparatus to regulate the output voltage of the power converter under a light-load or no-load condition includes a driver circuit, a feedback circuit, and an adjustable voltage reference circuit. The driver circuit is coupled to output a drive signal, switch a power switch between ON and OFF, and regulate the output of the power converter. The feedback circuit is coupled to the driver circuit and is further coupled so as to output an enable signal and switching the power switch to ON depending on an output voltage signal. The adjustable voltage reference circuit is coupled such as to adjust a voltage reference so that a bias winding voltage of the power converter is nonlinearly adjusted depending on load coupled to the output of the power converter.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
